KARL Robinson saluted his Oxford United team after they set a new club record of eight straight wins with victory over Fleetwood.
Not since the 1982-83 season had the U’s managed eight in a row – and it was also a seventh league success on the spin.
It was also their first victory in 13 attempts against bogey team Fleetwood.
Josh Ruffels headed in the winner in the 29th minute after Fleetwood lost centre-half Charlie Mulgrew to a red card after just six minutes.
