RACE TO TAKE OVER THE LATICS HOTS UP

WIGAN’S joint administrators have revealed there are 11 parties interested in taking over the League One club.
The Latics have been in administration since July and a prospective takeover by Leganes owner Felipe Moreno recently fell through.
Of the 11, the administrators say that two have provided verifiable or certified proof of funds but not yet made an offer, two have provided offers that are acceptable subject to providing verifiable proof of funds and full details of proposed owners and directors and three have advised that proof of funds will be provided in the next few days.
