DARREN WARD admits that Millwall had already played their cup final before losing to Manchester United at the Millennium Stadium.
Ward believes the Lions’ 1-0 semi-final win over Sunderland at Old Trafford was their key game.
Millwall managed to avoid Premier League teams in every round before the final, beating Walsall, Telford, Burnley, Tranmere and Sunderland. Tim Cahill scored the only goal of the game to book Millwall’s place in the final.
