BLACKBURN defender Derrick Williams is set for an extended spell on the sidelines with a quad injury, boss Tony Mowbray has revealed.
The 27-year-old played through the pain against Bristol City and Norwich, but was absent for the midweek comeback win over Rotherham at Ewood Park.
Williams has caught the eye this season, helping Rovers keep five clean sheets in 10 game.
So the absence of the Irishman for a large period of time has hit Mowbray hard.
