SORRY, FREDDIE, I COULDN’T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG

HAVING watched Freddie Ladapo, right, terrorise Bournemouth last weekend, this would be an apt time to offer the Rotherham striker an apology.
Writing in 2018, I argued that Ladapo – who’d just been released by Southend after six barren months – might be better off dropping into the National League.
In fact, he joined Plymouth, finished as the club’s top scorer, then joined Rotherham and won promotion to the Championship.
