IT’S an interminable journey from Brighton to Bournemouth. One hundred sluggish miles of speed restrictions, traffic lights and roundabouts.
But for Steve Cook, it proved the trip of a lifetime. Just 20 when he pitched up on loan at Dean Court in 2011, the centre-back found a club with three stands, no money but big ambitions.
Nine years on, the Cherries skipper is a veteran of two promotions, 350 appearances and five seasons as a Premier League player.
