The legacy Nobby and Co deserve
ALL the tributes that have been paid to Nobby Stiles since his death on Friday show the esteem in which he is held by those in the football world and also the general public.
Those of a certain age will remember his jig of joy at Wembley as England beat West Germany to win the World Cup in 1966. Younger football fans will have seen the pictures and images of that famous day.
No-one knew then that the Three Lions would still be waiting to win it again more than half a century later.
