WIGAN exited the FA Cup with a whimper as their muchchanged line-up were comfortably beaten by Premier League side Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Winners of the competition as recently as 2013, the Latics made six changes as boss Paul Cook seemingly prioritised Championship survival over a decent run in the cup.
And with their Carabao Cup semi-final firstleg tie against Aston Villa on the horizon in four days’ time, Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers also made ten changes from the New Year’s Day win at Newcastle United.
