ECO PARK GETS THE GO-AHEAD

FOREST Green have been granted outline planning permission for their new sustainable stadium.
The club’s first attempt was rejected in June but Stroud District Council gave the green light on Wednesday evening to the new Eco Park, a 5,000-capacity wooden stadium.
Forest Green chairman Dale Vince said: “I feel pleased about that, I think it’s the right decision, but I’m still glad that it was made.”
When asked how long it could take until the stadium would be ready, Vince replied: “It’s going to take several years.
