PARKINSON HEADS OFF TO POOLS

SHREWSBURY firstteam development coach Joe Parkinson has left the club to become assistant boss at Hartlepool.
Parkinson only joined the club in July, but will now act as No.2 to new Pools boss Dave Challinor.
“We weren’t expecting it, but an opportunity came up for Joe and it just shows what good staff we have here,” Shrews manager Sam Ricketts said.
“Sometimes these opportunities just come up and we like to push people as we want them to get better, so when an opportunity comes along it’s hard to say you can’t go.”
