LYNCH ‘TO GIVE CATS STRENGTH’

SUNDERLAND manager Jack Ross believes Joel Lynch’s experience will help his squad.
The 31-year-old defender was out of contract at QPR and has agreed a one-year deal with the Black Cats.
Lynch has also played for Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town, and Ross said: “He has played the bulk of his career in the Championship and will bring a lot of physicality and strength to our squad.
“We feel as though we’ve got someone who will strengthen our squad, which is important.”
