ATTENDANCES across the English Football League topped 18.3 million this season – the highest figure for 60 years.
Of the three divisions, the Championship has seen the highest growth, with gates growing by almost 210,000 to over 11.3 million across the 552 matches, making it third behind the Premier League and Bundesliga among the best supported divisions in Europe.
