ON PAPER it looked as though high-flying Mansfield would sweep aside basement boys Notts County.
But football isn’t played on paper and the formbook goes flying out the window in big local derbies. A one-off poor performance shouldn’t dishearten Stags’ fans – David Flitcroft’s side have shown they are one of the best three sides in the division. Indeed, Mansfield have more than enough firepower to go up, but they have to remain mentally strong to bounce back.
