POWELL COUP FOR COBBLERS

NORTHAMPTON Town beat off competition from a number of clubs to sign Joe Powell, according to manager Keith Curle.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who was on the bench for West Ham’s Premier League clash with Leicester City in October, has joined the Cobblers until the end of the season.
Curle said: “Joe is a creative midfield player. He has a fantastic attitude, a hunger to do well and is excited by the challenge of regular league football.
“There was interest in him from other clubs, but we’re pleased he will be with us.”
