SAMMIE CAN BE KINGPIN FOR THE EAGER U’S

COLCHESTER United’s excellent campaign in League Two has taken me somewhat by surprise.
John McGreal’s side started the season with a flourish, losing only once in their opening nine games.
Recent weeks have proved somewhat tougher and I’ll be interested to see if they have the capability to get back on the right track in 2019.
A lot could hinge on the club’s ability to keep hold of the impressive forward Sammie Szmodics in January. Linked with a transfer in the summer, the talented number ten continues to hog the headlines.
