FINISHING lessons from Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has given Northampton striker Chris Long a major confidence boost.
The 22-year-old had struggled to make an impact at previous clubs but now admits he could not have wished for a better mentor than the Dutchman, who scored 128 Premier League goals.
He said: “He goes mad at me because I always want to stay behind doing shooting practice!
“He wanted me resting when I had a slight hamstring injury but, learning from him, you can’t get enough of it. I just want to be on the field with him.”
