Fast start is vital as U’s make history

JOHN McGREAL insists there is more to come from his young Colchester United side after they claimed a deserved win over Crawley Town.
First-half goals from Sammie Szmodics, Ryan Jackson and Mikael Mandron set the U’s on their way to victory, before Jimmy Smith bagged the Reds’ consolation in the second half.
It was Colchester’s first win over Crawley in ten attempts, leaving head coach McGreal delighted with his team’s first-half display. McGreal said: “I thought we were fantastic in the first half and we came out of the traps really well.
