‘WE DID NOT ASK THE FANS TO PAY’

THE EFL have insisted they didn’t ask the Leyton Orient Fans’ Trust to step in to cover the ailing club’s medical bills.
Leyton Orient have had a disastrous season on and off the field. The O’s are on the brink of relegation to the National League and face a winding up petition on June 12, while the PFA have been forced to step in to help pay a percentage of players’ unpaid March salaries.
There was a suggestion the fans had been asked to pay a medical bill by the EFL, via the club, for tomorrow’s home game against Hartlepool.
