MAL EXITS SHREWS

MAL Benning will leave Shrewsbury when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old left-back - who has played over 100 games since joining from Port Vale in 2023 - fell out of favour under Michael Appleton but has featured regularly since Gavin Cowan took charge in January.
“Mal’s a class act, a real good role model and he’s played a big part in us staying in the league,” said Cowan.
