AT THE highest level, there is a strong argument to be made that men like Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah merit their astronomical salaries.
Their talent, after all, is the primary reason why Premier League clubs’ combined revenues hit £5.2 billion in 2018-19. They deserve the lion’s share, and the average weekly wage of £61,000 is sustainable.
