Interim boss won’t seek job permanently

SALFORD interim head coach Paul Scholes ruled himself out of taking the job on a permanent basis after seeing their unbeaten start to the season come to an end at Port Vale.
Christian Montano struck late on to take all three points, after home keeper Scott Brown had saved Ian Henderson’s penalty. And the former Manchester United midfielder, and Salford co-owner, Scholes called for an experienced manager to take the helm.
