THURSDAY night’s 4-0 defeat at Brighton wasn’t what Portsmouth were hoping for, but the good thing is they’ve got a quickfire chance to make amends. In truth, the Carabao Cup was never high on Pompey’s agenda so an exit against a second string Seagulls outfit doesn’t need to be dwelled upon.
