PETE WILD is delighted to be back in charge at Oldham and thrilled to start with a well-deserved win against Grimsby.
Wild was named as the Latics’ head coach until the end of the campaign following Paul Scholes’s resignation – and he immediately ended their six-match run without a win.
Chris O’Grady opened the scoring on 42 minutes, burying a powerful 10-yard volley from Callum Lang’s right-wing cross.
