TRIBUTES POUR IN AS FANS SALUTE BEATTIE

CHAMPIONSHIP:
IPSWICH might not have managed to deliver a win on Tuesday that would have been the most fitting memorial to the late Kevin Beattie but the host of tributes that have flooded in for their club legend have been heart-warming.
The 64-year-old former centre-half, who died following a suspected heart-attack last weekend, was a cornerstone of the great Ipswich side under Sir Bobby Robson that culminated in the Tractor Boys’ UEFA Cup triumph in 1982.
