NEW Walsall manager Dean Keates says the chance to take the reins of his hometown club proved too good to turn down.
The 39-year-old, a Walsall- born former Saddlers midfielder, left Wrexham to take over at the Banks’s Stadium on Friday. He replaces Jon Whitney, who was relieved of his duties last Monday.
Keates, who won three promotions with Walsall – in 1999, 2001 and 2007 – as a player, said: “I’m delighted to come back.
