BARNSLEY have new owners and will have money to spend in January, but manager Paul Heckingbottom has warned the wage structure will still limit his recruitment.
The Tykes brought in 11 players in the summer, as well as five players on loan.
But, unlike many teams in the Championship, they did not spend big money on any one player.
In the January window, Heckingbottom believes their priority must be players who can make an immediate impact, but he admitted the wages set-up at Oakwell complicates matters.
