COUNTY REJECT KEWELL’S CRITICISM

NEWPORT midfielder Sean Rigg has hit back at Crawley Town boss Harry Kewell for labelling the Exiles a long ball team.
Former Leeds star Kewell criticised the Welsh club’s style of football after County beat his side 2-1 on Tuesday thanks to two headers from Mickey Demetriou.
But Rigg, 28, was bemused by the former Leeds winger’s reaction.
“It’s a bit confusing really,” Rigg said. “He said we like to lump it and it was boring football but I think he was maybe just a bit bitter after the loss.
