CARLISLE have received a boost with the news that Jon Mellish’s red card against Morecambe on Boxing Day has been overturned.
The 27-year-old defender was shown a straight red card LEAGUE TWO for a challenge on Shrimps midfielder Tom White in his side’s 1-0 defeat.
“The FA reviewed the booking and later confirmed the red card would be rescinded,” said the club.
