GRANT’S SO SAD AT ALEX DECISION

CREWE Alexandra chairman Charles Grant has said he is ‘very sad’ that Alex Morris stepped down as manager on Friday. The League Two club say the move was made at Morris’ own request ‘for compassionate reasons’. The 39-yearold, previously assistant to Dave Artell, was appointed as manager in April after a spell as interim boss, with Lee Bell becoming his assistant.Bell has now become interim manager, with Morris as his assistant.
