Alexander counts the cost after Neal gaffe

AN agonising own goal from Salford keeper Chris Neal cost Graham Alexander’s side another two points at the Peninsula Stadium.
Salford thought they had won it thanks to Richie Towell’s first-half strike, but No.1 Neal accidentally backheeled James Brophy’s effort into his own net to ensure the points were shared. Boss Alexander admitted his side had thrown away the lead for the third time in four games.
