Matt Bloomfield is convinced his ‘steep learning curve’ as Colchester United manager will stand him in good stead as he takes the reins at first love Wycombe Wanderers.
In almost 20 years as a player at Wycombe, Bloomfield notched up more than 550 appearances, helping the Chairboys to reach the Championship along the way.
He retired a year ago on medical advice having had a spate of concussions and joined the club’s coaching staff ...
