Conor Hourihane says he is ‘incredibly grateful’ to Barnsley for giving him his start in management – after it was announced that he and the Tykes were going to ‘mutually part ways’ at the end of the season.

The former Republic of Ireland international was appointed on an interim basis in March last year.
He took over after Darrell Clarke was sacked and was given a two-year contract 12 months ago.
However, this season has been a disappointment, with the club stuck in mid-table in League One.
