Boro tie Evans to lengthy tenure…

Stevenage boss Steve Evans has been rewarded for his success with an improved contract until the summer of 2026.
The former Leeds boss took the reins almost two years ago and helped Boro maintain their EFL status in his opening months in charge.
He then led Stevenage to promotion from League Two last season and they have been in the higher reaches of the third tier this term.
Boro chairman Phil Wallace told the club website: “This isn’t about the results of the last few games – or even this season. The results since Steve joined us in March 2022 speak for themselves.
