PHOENIX SEEKS TO FLY HIGH AT CODS

NEW Fleetwood Town striker Phoenix Patterson says he ‘can’t wait to get started’ in the New Year. The 22-year-old has joined the Cod Army from League of Ireland second tier side Waterford. He was named the Player of the Season in his division last term and, in total, plundered 28 goals in 58 games for the Blues. That form attracted the attention of the League One outfit, who are a sister club of Waterford.
