LENGTHY ABSENCE FOR WILLIS

SUNDERLAND defender Jordan Willis faces at least six months on the sidelines after rupturing a patellar tendon in the midweek defeat at Shrewsbury.
The 26-year-old, who slipped and fell awkwardly in the early stages of the 2-1 loss, was out for a month in mid-November as he nursed tendonitis in the affected area.
“Jordan Willis is facing a minimum of six months out,” said boss Lee Johnson.
“He’s due to have surgery shortly. We feel for him, he’s a really good player and it’s a huge loss for us.”
