Dale’s boss ‘almost in tears’ after missing out

BRIAN Barry-Murphy admitted he felt like crying after John Akinde’s stoppage- time equaliser denied Rochdale an important win.
Vadaine Oliver had put the Gills a goal up, but Dale flipped the game on its head with two strikes in six minutes from Jimmy Keohane.
However, substitute Akinde volleyed home deep into added time to stop the visitors from claiming a first win in six league games.
And Barry-Murphy was left heartbroken.
