Jacob’s move a win-win, says Neil

Stoke boss Alex Neil has defended the sale of Jacob Brown to Luton and promised that the fee will be reinvested in the team.
Brown, 25, scored 26 goals in 125 games for the Potters since signing from Barnsley for £2m in 2020. He netted in Stoke’s opening game of the season, a 4-1 win over Rotherham, and was due to start against West Brom in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie.
But Luton submitted an offer on the eve of the match, and after Brown expressed his desire to join the Premier League newcomers, Neil says the club could not stand in his way.
