TONY Mowbray says Sunderland will seek to sign an experienced replacement for stricken captain Corry Evans. Evans, 32, suffered cruciate ligament damage in last Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough and will miss the rest of the season. “It did seem innocuous but sometimes they turn out to be the worst injuries,” said Mowbray, who also managed Evans at former club Blackburn. “But I’ve known Corry a long time now and he understands what’s in front of him and the gravity of it.
