PROFITS ARE UP AS SLIDING CHERRIES GO DOWN

BOURNEMOUTH recorded a £17m profit in their 2020-21 accounts despite relegation from the Premier League.The Cherries’ results, filed this week, showed reduced turnover of £71.7m, but an operating profit driven by player sales and reduced staffing costs.In a statement, Bournemouth announced: “The club recorded a profit before taxation of £17.0m (2020: loss of £60.1m) mainly as a result of the profits realised from player trading.
