WOODS’ GLEE AT FINALLY PLAYING FOR LEE

BIRMINGHAM midfielder Ryan Woods has admitted he wished he had played for head coach Lee Bowyer before this campaign.
The 27-year-old moved from fellow Championship side Stoke in the summer and is revelling in the way the former Blues midfielder wants his team to play.
The ex-Millwall and Brentford player said: “I wish I had played under the gaffer sooner.
“He played at the top level. He’s slightly different to me in the way he played, but he sees things that sometimes you think ‘yeah you’re probably right there’.”
