WELLENS COMMITS TO ROBINS

SWINDON manager Richie Wellens agreed a new three-and-a-half-year contract in the week.
The Robins received an approach from Blackpool to speak to Wellens about their managerial vacancy but, with discussions about a contract extension already well under way, it was rejected.
Since taking over as Swindon boss in 2018, the 39-year-old has taken the team from 18th in League Two to the top of the table.
