CRISTIAN Montano has no qualms about filling in at left-back for Port Vale.
The 27-year-old, who is more familiar with a left-wing role, has been asked to play in defence due to an injury to Adam Crookes. Montano played there for the Valiants during part of last season, and he said: “I was ready to do my part for the team and I enjoy it really.
“I’m someone who likes to play, I like to get on the ball and I feel like from left-back I get the opportunity to get on the ball more, run at players from quite deep and actually start play sometimes.
