TOMMY Johnson has joined Blackpool’s recruitment staff in a move that led to the collapse last week of Southend’s bid to appoint Henrik Larsson as manager.
Larsson had agreed to move to Roots Hall with Johan Mjallby and Johnson as assistant manager and head of recruitment respectively, until Johnson joined the Seasiders instead.
Blackpool owner Simon Sadler said: “I am pleased to welcome Tommy and Jonathan (Gibson, head of technical scouting) to the club.”
