SWINDON manager Richie Wellens believes the experience of Luke McCormick can be a key building block for the Robins launching a promotion campaign. Back-to-back defeats against Carlisle and Stevenage made a promotion challenge this season a tall order, but Wellens feels if they miss out, McCormick will be an important figure next season after the 35-yearold signed a new one-year extension.
Wellens said: “He’s been promoted from this division before, so securing his talent and experience is a part of us building for next season.”
