LEAGUE TWO
ITALIAN striker Franklyn Akammadu’s season-long loan deal at Tranmere Rovers has been cut short.
The 20-year-old striker arrived at Prenton Park in August from Serie C outfit Alessandria, but he appeared just once in the league for Rovers, as an 84th-minute replacement for Paul Mullin in the 4-3 win at Morecambe on October 6.
Following that cameo, he then started two games in the Checkatrade Trophy, both in October, and hasn’t been seen in a Rovers shirt since.
