BOSS Chris Wilder has praised Martin Cranie after the defender agreed to stay at Sheffield United until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old, who joined from Middlesbrough at the start of the campaign, has extended his initial short-term deal.
“Martin is an excellent professional and has been a valuable member of the squad,” said Wilder.
“He’s zero maintenance.
He just comes in and works hard.”
Cranie started the games at Nottingham Forest and Wigan, helping the Blades secure victory at the DW Stadium.
