CAPTAIN Rory McArdle revealed Scunthorpe have gone back to basics in order to improve each game.
The Iron enjoyed a good September and kicked off October with a 5-3 win over Charlton.
Former Bradford defender McArdle, 31, said: “We had to try get back to basics and take something from each game.
“With the new gaffer (Stuart McCall) coming in, we had to learn the way he wanted us to play.”
