I was absolutely gutted when Josh McEachran, left, scored for Brentford on Tuesday night.

In 2015, I noticed that he hadn’t scored in about 100 games. So for the last three winters, I’ve religiously checked his progress. No goals in 101. No goals in 140.
Then 150 and 160. Last weekend, they played Reading and it was none in 187. I’ve had those stats on the tip of my tongue for three years, ready for the day when he finally scored and I could give in the big ‘un on Soccer Saturday.
