WALKER’S CHANCE AT RANGERS

QPR have reportedly handed a trial to Lewis Walker, son of former Nottingham Forest and England defender Des.
The 20-year-old forward was shown the door by fellow Championship side Derby County in August after playing just twice for the Rams in two seasons, both in the Checkatrade Trophy for the club’s under-21 side.
He went on trial to Chesterfield ahead of the new campaign but, despite scoring in a 5-0 win over Nuneaton, was not handed a deal by boss Martin Allen.
Now he is set to try his luck at Loftus Road under the watchful gaze of Steve McClaren.
