FRANKLYN Akammadu has swapped Serie C for life in League Two after joining Tranmere on loan.
The US Alessandria striker, who started his career at Fiorentina, had been training with Rovers for the past few weeks and now manager Mickey Mellon has made him a bona fide member of the squad with a yearlong loan contract.
“He’s a young striker who has a lot of potential. We believe we can develop him at Tranmere”, said Mellon.
The 20-year-old started at Fiorentina, before joining Cesena and then Alessandria.
